Real World Takeways from Coronavirus

So, what are the real lessons to be learned from the coronavirus? First, The resolution to susceptible supply chains running through authoritarian one-party countries is, for America to consider susceptibility to breach security and therefore cause conceivable distress when formulating laws related to the exchange of goods or services involved in international trade including taxes, subsidies and import/export regulations. We should favor governments that are transparent in their distribution of information. China is celebrated for its extraordinary crackdown on public life, which has brought transmissions down dramatically. However, if it were not for China’s highly persuasive political propagandist efforts to suppress news about the coronavirus in the first place, the coronavirus perhaps would not have become a pandemic.

Second, we must cease indulging anti-scientific rumormongering elocution about vaccines in general. The diminution of the COVID-19 will be contingent on the research and development of a vaccine. Matters related to vaccines are often entangled in a web of disinformation and misinformation and should be ordinarily disregarded. We should remember that crises exacerbate the causative agents for human behavior; they seldom create them.

Economic unpredictability in the aftereffects of the coronavirus has simply unmasked the fundamental failings of the Chinese, European, and dare I say, U.S. economies; those systemic problems won’t be solved through a quick and/or temporary solution to a problem that does not address or resolve the underlying cause of the said problem. There are no band-aid solutions.

The public health issues with homelessness will likely be exposed dramatically in the United States, especially so in Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Jose, Santa Clara, San Diego, Seattle, and NYC; they won’t go away when the coronavirus ends. The coronavirus should underscore the necessity for action in the absence of a crisis.

Finally, we should remember that Church, charity and local community support matter. Large-scale government response will never be as efficient or as personal as a local response. Care for our neighbors, care for our families and pray for those afflicted with the virus. Implement personal behavior that lowers risk. And then wait for more information. Perhaps that’s the best lesson from all of this: Jumping to conclusions based on lack of information is a serious mistake. In conclusion, it is better to err on the side of caution.

Facts First Before Distorting Historic Truths

A Coronavirus, in this case COVID-19 is not going to permanently tank the economy. What may very well submerge the American economy is collectivism/neo-Marxism being espoused from the mouths of many within today’s Democrat Party and those who advocate socialism as the source of political power. The vast majority of these socialist mouth pieces, being millennials indoctrinated by left-wing academia and their leftist political counterparts who share their same fixed values.

To those who espouse socialism, get your facts first, then you can distort them as you please. Counter to what intuition would lead one to expect: The direction you follow is counterintuitive, you must follow the historical trail of socialism before you go there. Are not more millennials working today, participating in the labor force, than ever before?  They may tell you they like socialism, but they know not what they believe or have confidence in. The naysayers on the left bellow inclusivity for all as their rallying cry. It is my contention that we all want growth to be inclusive for all of America’s citizenry. Statistics tell us we have an extraordinarily low unemployment rate across every single demographic. Is not the unemployment rate today for African Americans, Hispanics, Latinos, women... disabled Americans at its lowest in history? Under Trump's leadership and Capitalism as his economic and political system of choice, has he not reached into the sidelines of the economy to pull all persons capable and willing to work into the workforce?

In summation, for the first time in history, there are more women working today in the labor force than there are men. If facts are mirrored by employment statistics; Trump’s first three years in office have witnessed historic employment growth. Never has any American Chief of State achieved growth among every single demographic during their term(s) as has President Donald J. Trump, 45th and current president of the United States.

"What to Do" Based on Statistics and Caution

Here are a few thoughts worth chewing on as they pertain to the new subtype of virus (Coronavirus) that humans have little to no immunity to and “what to do” about personal safety.

The first of several thoughts that comes to mind is obvious. Will plenty of people die in the United States as a result of the Coronavirus (COVID-19)? I suppose it all depends on what one defines as "plenty of people." So far, more than 10,000 people have died worldwide of COVID-19, including 22 and counting in the U.S. The standard-issue flu has killed around 16,000+ people in the U.S. so far this season. Almost 39,000 people lost their lives in auto accidents on American motorways last year. Additionally, approximately 70,000 died of a drug overdose. Approximately 84,000 Americans died of diabetes last year. Broadening the scope, around the world, 594,000 people died of malaria. The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations estimates that as many as 25,000 people lose their lives every day from hunger. That adds up to roughly 9.1 million people who die of starvation annually. What I’m trying to convey is that it’s all statistics, until it's you or someone you care about or someone of high profile. In the meantime, I am packing my 4X4 SUV with my guns, fishing gear, Bible and my dog, going to Costco and stock up on food, wine, and Charmin Ultra Soft Toilet Paper and driving to a sparsely inhabited but climate-friendly area. I am open to suggestions as to the idyllic destination. Do you have any recommendations? I'm all ears.

On a serious note, wherever you live you should be taking standard precautions right now. Do not hoard, but stock up on food, vitamins, get whatever medicines you require, and be prepared should you need to be locked down for a yet to be determined duration of time. The chance of that happening in the area you live in may yet be small, but it’s not nil. So, don’t screw around with this one. It’s best to “err on the side of caution.” This may well be the most serious pandemic-worthy risk since the1918 Spanish influenza that killed between 50 million and possibly as many as 100 million people worldwide. Word to the wise; everyone is at risk.

Tides of Tyranny: The Left's Threat to America

The Left's Threat to America

The facts are the GOP and today’s Democrats have coalesced around divergent perceptiveness of America that cannot be reconciled. To think otherwise is folly. Thus, the impeachment was not about Trump himself or his alleged “high crimes” and “misdemeanors.” It was not even about his flaws. It was about the perception of America that he represents.

This perception is far from ideal since it includes many elements of the debauchery that has brought America to its present crisis. It will not solve the moral crisis that is now far advanced. Nevertheless, this vision of a prosperous, materialistic American way of life still resonates in vast regions of the country. However, this vision does not resonate among today’s Democrat Left who desires a different America. Those who are fixated with abortion and infanticide hate this first vision. Those who follow the religion of climate alarmism lament this prosperous, carbon-friendly America. This vaguely moral vision of America does not reverberate with Drag Queen Story Hour activists calling for the destruction of all virtuous and righteous moral impediments that restrain the anarchic emotive appetites of society's social deviants.

This clash between these two Americas goes beyond normal politics and has long existed. What makes the present episode different is that it has now reached a cracking point with conservatives perilously in power. Today’s Democrat party sees that the triumph of President Trump’s vision of America must be overcome by any means possible. Its mere existence cannot be borne. The progressive ‘s presidential candidates contemptuousness for all things Trump and capitalism know no limits. Morality aside, today’s progressive left champions has promised citizens and illegals alike “free stuff.”
