The Lion has Roared...

With nations warring over biblical battlegrounds, traditional morality under assault, and the civilization once called Christendom teetering on the brink of collapse, it's a time of confusion and fear for believers worldwide. "The lion has roared - who will not fear? The Sovereign Lord has spoken - who can but prophesy?" Amos 3:8

When I first began to contemplate, study and debate these matters, the Internet and cellphones were just coming into their infancy. Neither had pervasive 24-hour cable television news broadcasting become commonplace. The Middle East had not yet imploded and Christian genocide was not underway. Russia and China had not shown up with their militaries in Syria. Russia and Iran had not made military compacts. The formally democratic and U.S. ally, Turkey, had not become a rogue state seemingly determined to recreate the Ottoman caliphate. News flash: All of these things are underway, and you have to be pretty much blind, deaf and dumb to ignore their prophetic significance.

I argue, Christians had long suspected these kinds of events would unfold because of predictions in Scripture, but few could have predicted the speed with which everything is unfolding. Think of it! The Gulf War, Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, the Arab Spring, the birth of ISIS and the creation of a caliphate, the international refugee crisis, and the radical movement to promote transgenderism. Few could have dreamed of all this even a short time ago. But some of us did, not in exact detail, but we knew something like it was on the way. Because the Word of God said these events are coming. It is my hope, as prophecy continues to unfold, the purpose of this post is to help believers decode the biblical significance of the extraordinary news which seems to arrive with each new day.

Some claim we are yet in the midst of a major Shemitah event missed by most of the world - but still reverberating. Are we not also witnessing an unprecedented and exponential explosion in technology developments that tie, for the first time in history, directly to biblical Last Days prophecies? At present, are we not witnessing the alignment of the Ezekiel 38? Are not the nations in the Middle East in the process of forming a great alliance against Israel?

From what information, slim as it may be, I am able to gather, major globally influential entities are fervently calling for the marking of every man, woman, and child on the planet - and plans have been laid, in conjunction with international tech companies, to make it happen within the next decade.

Every day, I become more convinced a great apostasy is engulfing much of the church even as a great awakening is sweeping the planet. Are not events taking place in the world today a clarion call to attention for the church, I believe is far too complacent about the importance of prophecy and eschatology, especially when it comes to the time of challenges which I and others before me argue is in store for believers? Many theological and biblical scholars are absolutely alarmed by what they are seeing - yet the largest part of the church remains silent. They appear to barely even notice the apostasy from within. It is my passion, and in a sense duty, to in the least, bring awareness to the church - from the lectern, the pulpit, to the pew - not in an alarming and sensational way - but in a sober, balanced, logic, and biblical manner. This is why I have written these particular remarks.

Practically every single thing the Bible said would happen in the last days has happened and/or is happening right before the eyes of the world, and at breath-taking speed! And it has all rolled in like Noah’s flood waters, all since the return of Israel in 1948. Following extensive study, I knew in my spirit that the unprecedented event of the revenant nation of Israel was the start-watch for dramatic end time prophecy revealing. However, I could never have guessed how quickly it would come.

Even when writing the post, I found the world was changing so rapidly and prophetic happenings were advancing so disturbingly that it was hard to know where to start and quit writing. I assert, one does not need to be of a particular denomination or even a believer to profit from this writing. This post does not require that the reader hold to any one schema of eschatology. It does not insist upon a certain timing of the rapture event - rather I simply take what the Bible clearly says would be markers of the last days and then line those prophecies up with the continually unfolding and corresponding mainstream news reports of current events.
