The Perils of Multiculturalism is Extinction Part 2 of 5

Lamm continues his train of thought on how to destroy America, “Invent ‘multiculturalism’ and encourage immigrants to maintain their own culture. I would make it an article of belief that all cultures are equal. That there are no cultural differences! I would make it an article of faith that the Black and Hispanic dropout rates are due to prejudice and discrimination by the majority. Every other explanation is out of bounds.” Truer words have not been spoken since. Any fool can see that Los Angeles, California or Miami, Florida are no longer American cities. Chicago, Houston, Dallas, Chicago, New York, Atlanta, San Francisco and many other cities are not far behind. Immigrants arrive at over four million per year, so fast and so many, that they are not assimilating into the American Dream. However, they are creating the American Nightmare for Americans. You might even be insulted if you spoke English. You would more than likely be given the evil eye or cold shoulder in the immigrant enclaves of many of those cities already mentioned. Then again, I digress. What brought on the nightmare I earlier mentioned? The nightmare accompanies the more than 41.3 million immigrant population (legal and illegal) in 2013. It was doubled the number in 1990, nearly tripled the number in 1980 and quadruple that in 1970, when it stood at 9.6 million. Note; these figures may very well be conservative.
Here's a novel idea. Why not make America a "Hispanic Quebec"? We could do so without much effort. The key is to celebrate diversity rather than unity. As was written a few years back, “The apparent success of our own multi-ethnic and multi-cultural experiment might have been achieved not by tolerance but by hegemony. Without the dominance that once dictated ethnocentrically and what it meant to be an American, we are left with only tolerance and pluralism to hold us together.”
Over the past few years have we not witnessed minorities, to include Muslims, Hispanics and others protest our way of governing? Have we not seen many of these minorities disrespect our Republican form of government where each of us is afforded our rights to free speech? Ironically, many of these are American minority students whose families have been in the U.S. for generations. It is apparent to me that many American Muslim students do not realize that this is America. No wonder their counterparts in the Middle East and Africa only know how to load a gun, activate an IED or blow themselves up!

As an afterthought, why not encourage all immigrants to keep their own language and culture? Why not replace the melting pot metaphor with the salad bowl metaphor? It is important to ensure that we have various cultural sub-groups living in America reinforcing their differences rather than as Americans, emphasizing their similarities.
